TRANSFER CREDIT POLICY

Transfer Student Policy and Credit Evaluation

Anoint the World University welcomes transfer students. The following credit transfer limits apply:

  • Up to 90 credit hours may be transferred toward a Bachelor’s degree
  • Up to 15 credit hours may be transferred toward a Master’s degree
  • Up to 6 credit hours may be transferred toward a Doctoral degree

Credits may be accepted from accredited institutions and may evaluate coursework on a case-by-case basis from non-traditional educational experiences (i.e., life learning credits).

Students who wish to transfer to Anoint the World University must complete the following steps to ensure a seamless transition.

Step 1: Complete the Online Transfer Application
Visit the Anoint the World University website and complete the Transfer Student Application form. Be sure to select the option indicating your status as a transfer applicant.

Step 2: Submit Official Academic Transcripts
Arrange for all official transcripts from previously attended colleges or universities to be sent directly to Anoint the World University. Acceptable submission methods include:

  • Secure electronic transcript services (if offered by the institution)
  • Official hard copies mailed in sealed, unopened envelopes

Please note: Only transcripts received directly from the issuing institutions will be reviewed for transfer credit eligibility. Unofficial or student-handled transcripts will not be considered.

Step 3: Understand Transfer Credit Guidelines
Anoint the World University reviews coursework from accredited institutions for credit transfer based on academic equivalency. The following maximum credits may be applied:

  • Up to 90 credits toward a bachelor’s degree
  • Up to 15 credits toward a master’s program
  • Up to 6 credits toward a doctoral program

Transferable undergraduate courses must carry a minimum grade of C, while graduate-level courses must be B or higher.
Non-traditional learning experiences—such as AP exams, CLEP tests, and documented life learning—may be reviewed individually.

Step 4: Provide Additional Documents (if applicable)
Certain programs may require supporting documentation, including:

  • A Personal Faith Statement describing your spiritual journey and commitment to Christ
  • A Pastoral or Ministry Leader Reference affirming your character and Christian life
  • Ministry Experience Verification, where applicable, for specific degree tracks

Step 5: Await Transfer Credit Review
Once transcripts are received, the Admissions Office will evaluate eligible credits.
Students will be issued a Transfer Credit Summary, and their Degree Completion Plan will be adjusted accordingly.

Step 6: Confirm Admission & Register
After receiving an admission offer, you’ll need to:

  • Sign and return the Enrollment Agreement
  • Activate your Anoint the World University student email and portal
  • Connect with an Academic Advisor/Administration to review your course plan
