Anoint the World University (ATWU) is a Christ-centred academic institution that upholds the authority of the Bible as the ultimate source of truth and moral guidance. We are committed to integrating biblical principles in every area of university life — academic, social, spiritual, and ethical. Our identity and policies reflect the conviction that Scripture is the inspired, infallible Word of God, providing the standard by which we understand human life, relationships, and societal structures.
We affirm that human dignity, moral clarity, and purpose are best understood through the lens of God’s design. Therefore, our societal stances are not based on cultural trends or popular ideologies but are anchored in the timeless truths of God’s Word. These positions serve to guide our community of students, faculty, and staff, cultivating an environment where Christ is honoured and lives are transformed.
- BIBLICAL AUTHORITY:
We affirm the Bible as the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the final authority on all matters of faith, conduct, and moral guidance (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
- CHRIST-CENTERED IDENTITY:
Jesus Christ is central to all we do. We seek to glorify Him in our teaching, learning, relationships, and institutional practices (Colossians 1:17-18).
- HUMAN DIGNITY AND SANCTITY OF LIFE:
Every human being is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and is therefore inherently valuable, from conception to natural death.
- MARRIAGE AND SEXUALITY:
We uphold the biblical definition of marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6), and affirm that sexual intimacy is reserved for this union.
- GENDER AND IDENTITY:
We affirm that God created humanity as male and female (Genesis 1:27), and that gender is a God-given identity to be embraced, not altered according to personal preference or cultural norms.
- MORAL CLARITY:
We reject moral relativism and affirm the existence of objective truth and morality as defined by Scripture (Isaiah 5:20; John 17:17).
- JUSTICE AND COMPASSION:
We are called to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8). We stand against all forms of injustice, racism, exploitation, and abuse, advocating for the marginalized and vulnerable.
- RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND RESPECT:
While we hold firmly to biblical truth, we also uphold the dignity of all individuals and their freedom of conscience. We promote respectful engagement with those of differing beliefs (1 Peter 3:15).
- ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND DISCIPLESHIP:
We are committed to rigorous academic pursuit that aligns with biblical truth, forming students not just intellectually but spiritually and morally.
- COMMUNITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
All members of the Anoint the World University (ATWU) community are called to live in accordance with Scripture and accountability to one another, reflecting Christ in word and deed (Ephesians 4:1-3).
